Photographs of the Regiment

The Museum holds a large number of photographs showing the activities of the Regiment from the middle of the nineteenth century onwards. Here are just a very small number of them. You can see more on the Gathering the Jewels website.

Colonel J.F Vaughan in the Crimea, 1855.  The Regiment was embodied during the Crimean War, but only for home defence service. However, a number of its members, including Colonel Vaughan, volunteered as individuals for service in the Crimea.
